Microsoft Defender for Endpoint operating system support
Last updated October 2021 with Server 2022 (Windows 11 hasn't been added to docs yet)
As I was explaining to a customer that not all Microsoft Defender for Endpoint features were supported on previous Windows Server versions, they asked if there was a comparison table.
And... I couldn't find one. So I created one.
Operating System version | Windows 10 | Windows 8.1 | Windows 7 | Server 2022 | Server 2019 (1809+) | Server 2016 | Server 2012 R2 | Server 2008 R2 | macOS (10.14+) | Linux |
